A bitter brownish-yellow or greenish-yellow secretion produced by the liver, stored in the gallbladder and discharged into the duodenum where it aids the process of digestion. Symptoms of bile or acid reflux may include abdominal pain, frequent heartburn, vomiting or nausea.
